With great honor we announce that Jazmina will be performing at the inaugural Dance In The Park Charlotte music festival on August 5th, 2017 at Rolling Hill Park. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements in the upcoming weeks. . .
Jazmina was discovered by House music legend Ace Mungin (AceBeat Records) and debuted with the group INTENSE at the legendary Club Zanzibar. The INTENSE hit “Let The Rain Come Down” became a hit in the early 90’s and Jazmina’s remix of this classic house tune ( featuring Frankie Knuckles and Johnny Dangerous) still enjoys regular rotation to the present. From her breakout single “Let The Rain Come Down” with the group Intense in 1990, to her singles “Rescue me (Why Don’t U)” and “It Ain’t Easy” with producer Willy Washington, her gospel-trained voice has always stood out among her peers. Recordings such as the underground classic “I See You”(Ace Beat), the smooth and melodic “High on Hope”(Shelter), the funk-filled “Good Time”(KULT) solidified Jazmina as a Jersey House music princess. She has appeared on countless compilations, and has has worked with House music’s most notable vocalists and producers, including Kenny Bobien, Barbara Tucker, Kerry Chandler, Joey Negro and Tony Humphries. Her vocals are regarded among dance music’s most distinct and pristine to date.
Jazmina, now known as “Pastor Isai”, splits her time between performing with her outreach choir, Illumination Chorale, and serving the community of Charlotte in outreach work as Pastor of Sanctuary Outreach Ministries. She is working on a collection of songs to mark her return to House music. Jazmina credits God for everything and will forever be true to her roots.
